The actress is most well-known for her role as Kate Capshaw, an American actress who has retired. Willie Scott is an American nightclub singer and performer who she played in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), the film of director Steven Spielberg. Since then, she's appeared in Dreamscape (1984), Power (1986), SpaceCamp (1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). Capshaw's portraiture work is displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), who is a beauty and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail (an airline employee). She relocated to St. Louis, Missouri at the age five, and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School in 1972. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught Special Education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
