Lisa Edelstein has been an American actor for more than 20 years. She is most well-known for her performance as a character in House in the series House on Fox. Raised in Wayne in conservative Jewish tradition, she moved in New York City at the age of 18 to pursue studies in theater at Tisch School of the Arts. She was very active in the nightlife scene in the city of New York, and made enough noise to get noticed in the press. At the same time she began to become conscious of AIDS and its devastating impacts. Her experiences as well as her celebrity to create and write a musical titled Positive Me which she starred. Awake the Wild Side, a show that she was host for MTV was soon her task. Following the end of the series, she started appearing in the film and television industry, beginning with small roles. She gradually established her place as an actor.
