Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised with 12 other kids. She had a vivid imagination that allowed her to escape the savage realities of daily life. She was writing songs before she was able to write or read. Within 8 years she was playing her first guitar. As a teenager She began singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. At the same time, she recorded her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small label. The singer established a name for herself locally while still in high school, yet she dreamed of a bigger stage. The singer moved to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first track to hit the charts for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated show on TV in the late '60s, was looking for a singer on his show. Parton was offered the gig in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and began singing for in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She left the show in 1974, as her own albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were out-charting their collaborations. Parton recorded I Will Always Love You to Wagoner after their breakup. It reached No. 1 for the first time in 1974.
